The Science

Thermo-Responsive Technology

Sallus Retardant uses a water-based gel formulation that reacts to temperature. Under normal conditions, the gel remains inert and transparent on the treated surface.

When exposed to high temperatures, the gel undergoes a phase transition — rapidly expanding to form an insulating layer that prevents flame spread and protects the underlying material.

This technology is fundamentally different from traditional ammonium phosphate-based retardants, which are toxic and harmful to the environment. Sallus Retardant is based on natural and mineral ingredients, and biodegradable.

Application

Spray onto a clean surface using a sprayer. No dilution required. 1L covers ~4m².

Ready to Act

The product is ready to protect immediately after application, preserving the original appearance. The surface is ready for immediate use.

Inert Barrier

Under normal conditions, the barrier is invisible and does not affect the treated material. Rain-resistant after full drying.

Thermal Activation

Facing extreme heat, the gel instantly expands, forming an insulating layer that retards fire spread.
