We are proud to announce that Sallus Fire Retardant has officially achieved Class A Efficacy certification, in compliance with the stringent European standard EN 3-7.
This achievement represents a fundamental technical milestone for Hephaesnus and, above all, provides a demonstration of its performance to everyone who relies on our product to protect their homes, forests, and industrial facilities.
What is the EN 3-7 standard and why is it relevant?
The EN 3-7 standard is the European reference for testing portable fire extinguishers and fire extinguishing agents. It is not just a theoretical laboratory assessment; it is a practical fire combat test under real and standardized conditions.
To obtain this approval, the extinguishing agent must successfully extinguish a test bonfire containing a dense stack of wooden beams of standardized dimensions, without any subsequent reignition occurring.
The letter A designates the class of fire (solid fuels). This classification scientifically validates that Sallus Fire Retardant acts directly on combating flames, cooling the surface and preventing the progression and ignition of the fire.
Proactive prevention and proven efficacy
Sallus Fire Retardant now stands out as a barrier with extinguishing efficacy proven by independent entities. This means that, when applied preventively, its thermo-responsive hydrogel formulation has the real capacity to stop and extinguish flames.
With this certificate, Hephaesnus reinforces its commitment to developing science-based solutions, bringing professional-grade safety to the residential and forestry markets.
