We continue to test and qualify our solution rigorously, to meet the needs of our customers. Every test reinforces that commitment: Sallus Fire Retardant now achieves CLASS 0 in the test carried out under Annex K of UNE 23530:2023, the highest classification provided for by the standard.
What is UNE 23530:2023?
This certification sets out the requirements and procedures for the qualification of long-term retardants, including the minimum performance requirements and other properties for products intended for use in wildfires.
CLASS 0: a result that speaks for itself
In practice, we can say with confidence that Sallus Fire Retardant is a qualified solution for long-term protection, meeting the minimum performance requirements and the other properties demanded of products intended for use in wildfires.
In short, according to Class 0, the material shows minimal weight loss when protected by Sallus.
Why choose a certified fire retardant?
Choosing a fire retardant is not just a technical decision. In a market where many solutions present themselves as effective without independent proof, validation and certification are what separate promise from result.
With this in mind, we keep our commitment to our customers:
- Regulatory confidence;
- Proven performance;
- Transparency and rigour;
- Market differentiation.
A growing track record of certifications
This certification joins others already obtained by Sallus Fire Retardant, such as the Class A efficacy certification (EN 3-7) and the OECD 301B and 301F biodegradability certification. It is proof that it is possible to protect lives, property and forests with proven performance.
At Hephaesnus, we will keep investing in continuous research and development to deliver fire safety solutions of maximum effectiveness.
